Curate to Create E~course

Welcome to a brand new chapter here at Stone & Sage with Tamsyn Morgans and Sophie Harvey.

We are thrilled to showcase, share and offer this wonderful partnership with each other and you!

With lots of careful and curated planning we have been organically putting together an E~course called “Curate to Create”. This very special and unique course has been designed to help, support and enhance photographic skills using a mobile phone camera and DSLR camera and lens.

It will also help navigate participants on the course through styling, tips, tricks, techniques and theories. You’ll also find a section on how to develop your branding if you are a small businesses or wanting to start one.

With thirty (plus) years within the creative industry; we thought it only fitting to share with our wonderful friends & customers “Curate to Create”

Tamsyn is an incredibly talented stylist and photographer and has worked for big clients and firms including some very much loved publications. Sophie has been lecturing Art Practices and Creative Directing for over seventeen years whilst editing and publishing the “Preloved” magazine and founding Stone.

This excellent E~course has been designed with flexibility, equality, sustainability and diversity. We have been incredibly coherent & transparent within the E~course and how it could be studied as a beginner or avid photographer, there’s something in the E~course for everyone to learn, develop and grow as a creative.

We have also set up a designated Instagram page especially for those partaking within the course so we can be on hand to help with any enquiries but most importantly to share your progression.

This E~course has been designed to help those seeking confidence and learn more about  photography, styling, interiors, running a small business and visual digital content. The course in itself can be completed with no time frame, ideally it would be good to complete it over a twelve week period so you get the most out of the content and learning objectives set out.

We will be opening up spaces monthly from 3-5 spaces, we don’t want to saturate the E~course and working sustainably is incredibly important to us.

We would love to work alongside and support you, we are both big believers in collaboration, supporting creatives, develop ones confidence, help and nurture visual and artistic growth whilst working through our E~course.

𝓞𝓫𝓳𝓮𝓬𝓽𝓲𝓿𝓮; You will be able to create beautiful images, visual narrative, a story through products, brand, interiors or your home.

𝓨𝓸𝓾 𝔀𝓲𝓵𝓵 𝓵𝓮𝓪𝓻𝓷; (just a snippet)

* Narrative techniques through branding, interiors and photography believe it or not, they go hand in hand with each other.

* How to plan and carry out photoshoots in your own home, space or studio in a sustainably driven way and ethos, Sophie still used a wooden box to photograph her products (no thrills) just skills.

* You’ll be pinpointed to how to edit your photos, ready for social media, publications, websites or portfolio

* What does branding mean? How can you enhance or create a positive and viable brand? Apply branding theories to an existing or new business and feel confident with the future and what your business is saying.

* How to use the correct light depending on location or site specifics; how you can “paint with light” proven tips, tricks and techniques to create gorgeous imagery and visual content.

* How to creatively and dynamically use your phone camera to capture; ones that will stop people in their tracks or what we call “instagram” worthy!

* How to take expert images of your products on your phone using theories based on thirds and composition.

Tamsyn & Sophie personally know how important it is to have engaging, enticing and communicative imagery that tells a story, can sell a products or resonate with customers or clients. Social media has become the anchor to reach to connect with like minded people and customers, the E~course will help with this element that some might find hard.

Sophie knows all too well how hard it is to lift two successful businesses off the ground, patience, application, self taught skills, knowledge and the importance of investing in the right resources.

Our “Curate to Create” is a cost-effective learning programme to help you develop you as a creative, we can’t wait to see you grow.
